GAME MECHANICS

Over the years I’ve played with different Table-top systems, and discovered a few consistencies as regards my strengths as a GM. While I enjoy playing in highly regulated and rules-driven games, I dislike running such games, and tend to short-cut mechanics in ways that I fear offset and imbalance the things those mechanics are meant to represent.

As a result it is my desire to start this Chronicle from a position of hyper-awareness of this fact, and run a largely narrative game where mechanics and randomization is secondary.

At the moment I am looking into the Chronos Unified LARP System as a possible resolution mechanic. Because this system isn’t yet released, my interest is largely speculative. If, however, it holds to my expectations, I intend to adapt it for table-top use.
